- Major bank selects Matica as first choice for financial instant issuance in Middle East following global demand for state-of-the-art S3500 desktop system
Germany, MUNICH, 2 August, 2016 – Matica Technologies AG (A0JELZ) announced today a series of high level, secured projects throughout Middle East countries for financial institutions to implement instant issuance card programs.
It’s internationally accepted that financial instant issuance (FII) is becoming increasingly important for the financial and retail sectors, as they reap the benefits of issuing debit, credit and loyalty cards in-branch and in-store. The Middle East is a good proof point.
Through its specialized partner network, Matica has been selected as the manufacturer of choice by more than six internationally operating banks in the Gulf region. All banks seek the rewards of positively impacting their business by offering a convenient service that instantly issues debit and credit cards in-branch so they can be handed directly to customers.
Rewards may include optimizing the opportunity to register and activate the card as it is issued in person to the customer, thus allowing them to start spending immediately. It also reduces the significant loss of revenue from customers not activating their cards when they are delivered by post and it harnesses positive customer service practices that help to grow and retain customer base.
“After rigorous tender and procurement processes, Matica is proud to have been selected to implement future card needs for credit, debit, ATM and picture-card applications. As card technology experts in thermal and retransfer printing, embossed and indent, it is consistently rewarding to know we are the manufacturer of choice – backed up by a solid ecosystem of highly specialized partners,” said Sandro Camilleri, CEO, Matica Technologies.
“These recent projects include supporting a global bank to upgrade their FII strategy with our S3500 solutions, the implementation of an industrial desktop system for low to mid-volume issuance programs as well as financial flat card issuance,” adds Sandro Camilleri.
“Matica is very proud to have secured the trust of such respected banking authorities in the Middle Eastern region with our best in class technology. We have every confidence that this market is increasingly engaged with the benefits of financial instant issuance and as the market leader, we expect demand for our products to grow,” said Ferdinando Filippone, Vice President Global Financial Payments, Matica Technologies.
