Matica Technologies AG announces a New Group Appointment

Matica Technologies AG, a leading international ID and card issuance solutions provider, announces a new group appointment: Senior Executive Appointed as Matica’s New VP Global Sales, Printer & Desktop Solutions.

Matica Technologies Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Albert Baranera as our Vice President Global Sales, Printer & Desktop Solutions, effective as of November 1, 2014. Mr. Baranera will have the responsibility of leading Matica Group’s Printer and Desktop Solutions Division worldwide. He will drive innovative and integrated sales initiatives, foster our division’s sales policies, develop new go-to-market strategies and strengthen our channel management. Matica’s printer productsinclude retransfer printers, direct card printers, laser engravers, passport printers, and other desktop solutions. Mr. Baranera reports to the CEO, Mr. Sandro Camilleri, and is part of the Matica Senior Management Team.

Mr. Baranera has over 15 years of work experience in the ID card industry. He developed business for major ID industry players like Datacard, HID Fargo, Evolis and Zebra. He has considerable experience in sales and channel management, having served in senior management and regional management roles at Impuls ID Distribution and most recently as Managing Director for Bluestar. Mr. Baranera is familiar with both ID card printers and related items for desktop card production, smart cards, and NFC, as well as barcode printers, mobility, RFID and POS Systems.
